“Were you born in a barn?” That’s what a ‘scansinite says if you leave the door open on a cold day. I first heard this in 1988, and to this day I’m not sure what it means. — anonymous

That can’t only be from Wisconsin…. it means you just did something decidedly uncivilized — like wasting heat in January by leaving the door open.

 I feel like this is definitely more common than just here.
