#that last look though #like they thought they were done for #they thought they were going to die #and they’re not looking at their captours #or for a means to escape #they turn to look at each other #and the nod he gives #and she looks so terrified but when he nods #and she blinks afterwards like it’s ok #jack says it’s going to be ok #we will survive this #because they survive everything together #they go through hell and hallucinations #and burst appendixes and getting shot #and caught in nets #holla at the net scene though #but right through it all it’s the two of them #even when he tells her to leave him behind #or that she can’t help him #every time she does it anyway #she wants to save him as much as he wants to save her #the parallels #they’re everywhere #it’s equal #there are obstacles sure #but ultimately that look says it all #if she was going to die #jack was the one kate wanted to look at last #the one she needed that reassurance from #she chose jack
